We’re very excited to let you know that Ubaka U Rwanda has been selected to participate in the Big Give Christmas Challenge 2017, the UK’s largest match funding campaign. Last year, thanks to generous supporters like you the campaign raised over £7.2 million for participating charities.
We will be raising money for our project, Raising the Roof – Housing Street Children. We are building a permanent rehabilitation centre for Rwanda’s homeless street children and youth. We want to be able to help more of this vulnerable population through housing, access to education, providing larger drop-ins and working in the communities by completing our purpose built centre.
Donations to this project will be matched for 7 days from 12pm on 28th November, #GivingTuesday.
What happens during the Christmas Challenge?
Donations made to our project via theBigGive.org.uk will be doubled during the campaign. If you would like to support our work this year, we highly recommend doing so during the Christmas Challenge when your donation will be doubled and make even more of a di4erence to us.
What do I need to do?
1. Add a calendar reminder to your diary for 12pm on 28th November including this link.
2. Have your 3D secure card details ready when you make your donation.
Please note you must not pre-fill your details prior to 12pm. A clear message will be displayed to indicate when the Challenge has started and when your donation will be doubled.
