We are proud to announce that Baptist, one of the Ubaka U Rwanda boys, recently graduated with a university degree.
Baptist was one of the first “older” boys we helped through our Young Person’s Sponsorship Programme. He was brought up in a poor family, and when his mother passed away it looked like he had no other choice but to drop out of high school to support himself. With the support of our generous donors, we helped him complete his education.
He even won a scholarship to go to university and get a degree. He is already preparing for an exciting future and has founded his own construction business. Needless to say that we are very proud of him.
This reminds us how much impact our support can make to another person’s life. Days like these remind us that the years of support we are putting into our boys are worth it. You can read more about our sponsorship programme here.
